  1. Which events should we organize so that we can give maximum benefits to students?

Ans. We can have student conferences and discuss over vital futuristic technologies like Artificial intelligence, thereby arranging workshops and expert over it and also we can organize Sam park (connection) events: collaborating with multiple colleges so students of different student branch can meet and exchange their views to each forming a big network like SIG – special interest groups.

Description:

Data Science is a multi-disciplinary field that uses methods, processes, algorithms and systems to extract knowledge and insights from structured and unstructured data. This means that data science helps Artificial Intelligence figure out solutions to problems by linking similar data for future use.

Evolved from the study of pattern recognition and computational learning theory in artificial intelligence, machine learning explores the study and construction of algorithms that can learn from and make predictions on data. These analytical models allow researchers, data scientists, engineers, and analysts to “produce reliable, repeatable decisions and results” and uncover “hidden insights” through learning from historical relationships and trends in the data. MCA Department of Sarvajanik College of Engineering & Technology, Surat, has planned to organize this workshop on Data Science using Python.

Description (Max : 500 words): Short Term Training program (STTP)  on Artificial Intelligence for Signal Processing Applications (AISPA) aimed at cooperative use of two disciplines namely Artificial Intelligence (AI) and signal processing (SP) from later one’s (i.e. signal processing ) perspective. AI been visualized as the science of building computational models that exhibit intelligent problem solving behavior and signal processing can be termed as science of playing with and /or manipulating numeric signals / data to extract meaningful information out of input signal.

Looking experience of In last decade, domain of signal processing (SP) has been benefited and enriched by emergence of in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). These advances have made new tools availability in sub domains like signal estimation, manipulation, classification and prediction.  In data analytics, it is possible for further research in dimensionality and data size with the help of layer by layer signal representations, function approximation and signal prediction for nonlinearity as well.  These enhancements have led research community to significant improvements in a wide variety of long standing problem domains (e.g., speech processing, vision/video based systems

AISPA invited senior academician and also active researchers to showcase their recent work at the rapid evolution in ever evolving techniques and application areas.  It covered fundamental and theory of signal processing to applications that addressed open questions in various disciplines of ICT including robustness, adaptivity, and performance analysis. Detailed topic wise summary is given in later section.

Sttp on  AISPA helped enriching knowledge of all participant and might have enabled them to start, accelerate and conquer their work in near future for overall country wide benefits.

Deep learning is getting lot of attention lately and for a good reason. It’s achieving results that were not possible before. Deep learning becomes important as many organizations, both public and private, have been collecting massive amounts of domain-specific information, which can contain useful information about problems such as national intelligence, cyber security, fraud detection, marketing, and medical informatics. Companies such as Google and Microsoft are analyzing large volumes of data for business analysis and decisions, impacting existing and future technology.

The topics covered in the organized workshop were as follows: –

The workshop enlightened the audience and researchers with recent trend and challenges of today’s world. The workshop presented a platform for exchanging ideas and discussing challenges with field experts.

The workshop also motivated and persuaded the researchers and students to select deep learning and to develop systems like driverless cars, voice control in consumer devices, and artificial assistance, which will prove beneficial for the nation.

Bio: Anshul Roy is a BTech (Biological Sciences and Bioengineering) from IIT Kanpur. He has been an avid quizzer since 2005 and a quizmaster since 2015. He has won prizes at national-level quiz contests like the TCS IT Wiz, Tata Crucible, SBI Numero YONO, NTPC Electron etc. As a student of IIT Kanpur he has conducted various quizzes for IIT students and professionals in the last several years.

Introduction: 

“Cyber Security Law Awareness” was a one-day event conducted by Silver Oak University  IEEE SB under “Section Technical Expert Program” which was initiated by the IEEE-Gujarat  Section. The main purpose of this event was to make the students aware of increasing Cyber  Crimes and how we can tackle such crimes by keeping in mind various measures and laws  designed by the government. The event was hosted on zoom meeting and around 100  participants were a part of it.

He is the founder of cyber legal services and holds 16 years of experience in this field. About the Session:

The session commenced with the welcome speech by Raina Raval, the Vice-Chair of SOU  IEEE SB. Then our speaker continued the session by citing some real-life examples of  cybercrime which he came across in the recent past. He had discussed various cases of Identity  Theft, Bank Frauds, Spreading of Fake News, Fake Profile Creation, Company Resource  Utilization for Personal Gains, Piracy Rights Violation, etc…and also explained how we can  deal with such crimes.

The next point of discussion was about the Cyber Laws in our country under the I.T ACT 2000  and I.T ACT 2008. He talked about various sections under these acts and what penalty can be  issued for violation of those sections. Furthermore, he explained some techno-legal techniques  to prevent cybercrimes in the corporate world by framing various techno-legal agreements,  Techno-legal and HR policies, spreading awareness through inductions and audits.

The final part of the session emphasized on how Cyber Space is bringing stress and anxiety  into an individual’s life. He talked about various researches going on across the globe on this  topic. He had also shared some interesting information regarding research on MahaMantra  Meditation and Indian Vedic science which was carried out by Dr. David Wolf of Florida State  University. (The research showed how spiritual science can heal the wounds of technology)

Conclusion: 

The session was concluded with the Q&A session in which participants got satisfactory  answers to their questions. It turned out to be an enlightening webinar which helped all the  participants to get aware of various cyber-crimes and laws. Also, we are looking forward to  hosting such fascinating sessions in the near future.
