In celebration of IEEE WIE Day 2026, the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group at MBICT proudly presents "InnovateHER – Women in Technology, Leadership & Innovation," a hybrid event designed to inspire, empower, and connect future innovators. The event will begin with a Women in Tech Talk, featuring accomplished professionals and leaders who will share their experiences, challenges, and achievements in engineering and technology. Participants will gain valuable insights into leadership, career development, and emerging opportunities in STEM fields. Following the talk, participants will engage in the InnovateHER Ideathon, where teams will collaborate to identify real-world challenges and propose innovative technology-driven solutions. On July 3rd, 2026, a three-hour self-defense session will held for the girl students of Gyan Shakti and Raksha Shakti schools in Mehsana, Gujarat. This collaborative effort by the Namanam Foundation and the Mehsana Police Department aimed to equip young women with vital self-defense skills and foster a sense of empowerment. Manisha Patel , a Browne-I black belt instructor and ex-NCC cadet, led a comprehensive self-defense training session. The event was attended by the Mehsana Police Inspector (PI) and the SHE team, who highlighted the police department's commitment to women's safety and the importance of such initiatives. M. Patel Students Research Project Cell (MMPSRPC) in collaboration with IEEE WIE KSV and IEEE SPS KSV. The colloquium provides a dedicated platform for student researchers to present their ongoing and completed research work before designated reviewers, receive constructive evaluation and feedback, and engage in interactive discussions through an open question-and-answer session. This five-day presentation series aims to strengthen students' presentation skills, technical communication, critical thinking, and confidence while promoting interdisciplinary knowledge sharing and fostering a collaborative research environment. The event encourages students to showcase their research contributions and gain valuable insights from experts and fellow researchers.
