IEEE R10 HTC (Humanitarian Technology Conference)

Dear Distinguished Colleagues, Academicians, and Research Professionals,

It is our pleasure to invite you to submit your paper to the 2023 11th IEEE Humanitarian Technology Conference (2023 IEEE HTC), which will be held on 16-18 October 2023, at Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, India. The conference is in its Eleventh year and is a flagship conference of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) R10.

2023 IEEE HTC is a premier annual cross-disciplinary conference that will bring together technologists, engineers, scientists, investors, and representatives from NGOs, governments, academia, and industry. The conference will promote discussions and development of Electrical, Communication, Computing, Security, and Disaster Relief areas in general and other evolving engineering fields like AI, ML, IoT, etc. focused on addressing the humanitarian challenges. It will have plenary talks, keynote addresses by reputed academicians, tutorials & workshops by domain experts, research paper presentations, events for Women in Engineering and Young Professionals, sessions on entrepreneurship and innovation, Industry exhibits, and booths.

Technical Paper Submission Due Date: 17th Feb 2023
Acceptance Notification: 1st April 2023
Camera Ready Paper Submission: 15th June 2023
Conference date: 16th to 18th October 2023

Prof. S. C. Sahasrabudhe Memorial Lecture at DA-IICT, Gandhinagar, 20 Nov 2022 by Dr. R. K. Shevgaonkar

Greetings from IEEE Gujarat Section!

IEEE Gujarat Section initiated Prof. S. C. Sahasrabudhe Memorial Lecture in 2021 in the loving memory of Late Prof. S. C. Sahasrabudhe, who besides being the IEEE Fellow, was also a role model in engineering education, an inspiring teacher, a beloved mentor and a true IEEE volunteer. He was Deputy Director of IIT Bombay and then was the Director of DA-IICT, Gandhinagar for over a decade.

The inaugural Memorial Lecture was delivered by the then IEEE President Susan Kathy Land on 3 Oct 2021.

It is our pleasure to invite you all to attend the second lecture of this series as per the following schedule:

Venue: LT-1, DA-IICT, Gandhinagar
Date: 20 Nov 2022 (Sunday)
Time: 11 AM onward

This year’s lecture will be delivered by Prof. R. K. Shevgaonkar, Professor Emeritus, IIT Bombay and Former Director, IIT Delhi.

Title of the talk: The Fiber that Changed the World.

It is an in-person event.

This is how the Robots are altering the present and shaping the future.To keep up with these rapid advances in technology, IEEE SBNU, in collaboration with the IEEE Gujarat section, Region 10 brings you “ROBOMANIA“,  R10 Robotics Competition for all robot enthusiasts wherein participants will be evaluated on the basis of proficiency in three aspects namely, programming using virtual robot simulations, computer-aided product design or Computer-Aided Design (CAD), and technical speech delivery skills.

The first IEEE Humanitarian Activities Committee (HAC)/SIGHT Call for Proposals of 2022 is coming soon.

The Call will support IEEE member grassroots projects that utilize technology to address pressing needs of the members’ local communities. This is a powerful opportunity for IEEE members to utilize their technical expertise to help IEEE achieve its mission of advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. Applications may be submitted from 1 March – 4 April and will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
