“Spark It Up” – STEM Event

We are pleased to inform you that today on 4th October 2024 , the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, in collaboration with the IEEE SCET Student Branch and IEEE SPS Chapter, had organized a “Spark It Up” as STEM Event for pre-University students. The objective of this event is to create awareness about ENGINEERING, its various domains, and the diverse career opportunities it offers.

More than 60 students from prominent schools in Surat, including HMB Tekrawala, Jeevan Bharti, CC Shah, and Shardayatan, were participated in this event at the AV Room, EC Department, SCET.

The program includes:

  • – A Talk on Engineering
  • – Hands-on Project Implementation
  • – A Project Showcase by students
  • – Student Interaction

IEEE Day Celebration by IEEE Gujarat Section

IEEE Day Celebration organized by the IEEE Gujarat Section. The event will feature a talk by Mr. Jaimin Shah, Co-Founder & CEO of DEV IT Ltd, on the topic “Industry Trends and Opportunities.”

NetworkX

The IEEE Gujarat Section Membership Development team organized the NetworkX event under the guidance of Prof. Foram Chandarana. Distinguished guests included IEEE President Dr. Thomas Coughlin, IEEE President-elect Dr. Kathleen Kramer, IEEE VP MGA Mr. Deepak Mathur, IEEE R10 Director Dr. Lance Fung, IEEE Vice Chair of R10 Members Activities Dr. R.B. Jadeja, IEEE Gujarat Section Chair Dr. Kiran Amin, Advisor to IEEE Gujarat Section, Dr. Anil Roy, and IEEE Gujarat Section ExCom members. This event provided excellent networking opportunities for students and faculty members.

Session on “All about IEEE”

IEEE Membership Development Team under the guidance of Prof Foram Chandarana organized a session on “All about IEEE”. Dr. R.B. Jadeja, Vice Chair R10 Members activities, was the speaker for this session. He interacted with students and shared insights on IEEE membership benefits and opportunities.Prof Chirag Paunwala, Vice Chair IEEE Gujarat Section, discussed the scholarship benefits of IEEE, while Prof. Foram Chandarana, Chair membership development IEEE Gujarat Section, highlighted the volunteering and networking advantages.

We had presence of more than 850 students in the hall.
