National Seminar on New Trends in Signal Processing (NeTSiP-2015)

Date: 10th – 11th October, 2015

Venue: DA-IICT, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India

About Us

The IEEE’s first society, the Signal Processing Society, is the world’s premier professional society for scientist and professionals since 1948. Signal processing is the enabling technology for the generation, transformation, and interpretation of information. Signal processing is gradually emerging as the basis of next generation information and communication technologies. It is a very active field, where different disciplines intersect, and creating great opportunities for new and stimulating research directions. Signal processing has been widely encountered in our daily life. Progress in processing signal will have tremendous impact on the applications of information technology. It deals with algorithms for the processing of signals which are used by humans for communication with other people or machines or dealing with the world around.

The objective of NeTSiP is to provide an opportunity for students, faculties, scientists and engineers to interact with leading researchers in communication, speech, biometrics, and image and signal processing areas. It includes invited talks from experts in these and related areas. Researchers in academic, government and industrial organizations are encouraged to participate in the program.

Program consists of talk from the eminent speakers of India. With this we let the participants know the state-of-the-art of Signal Processing area which in itself covers a vast span. This seminar will expose the freshly joined post-grad students, PhD students and the young faculties of this area with the current challenges and trends of many of the topics of SPS. This will help them understand how to do research and what is the pedagogy of teaching this advanced discipline. This will contribute towards capacity building of this discipline within Gujarat Section. Once these people understand that such trainings are being organized and facilitated by IEEE SPS, ultimately, it will motivate them to join IEEE and IEEE SPS.

About NeTSiP

National Seminar on New Trends in Signal Processing (NeTSiP-2015) is an IEEE Gujarat Section event. This year NeTSiP-2015 is to be organized jointly by Sarvajanik College of Engineering and Technology (SCET), and Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT) at DA-IICT, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
