The IEEE Gujarat Section is pleased to announce that it has been selected by the IEEE Region 10 Membership Development Committee (MDC) under the 2026 Section Membership Development Initiative.

The initiative, launched by the IEEE Region 10 Membership Development Committee in June 2026, aims to support innovative section-level activities that promote membership growth, member retention, and increased member engagement across the Asia-Pacific region.

Following a competitive evaluation process, six proposals were selected from a total of eight submissions received from across Region 10. The selected sections are:

  • IEEE Malaysia Section
  • IEEE Northern Australia Section
  • IEEE Bangalore Section
  • IEEE Islamabad Section
  • IEEE Gujarat Section
  • IEEE Sri Lanka Section

As part of this recognition, the IEEE Gujarat Section will receive USD 400 in financial support from IEEE Region 10 to organize and implement its approved Membership Development activity during the project period from 15 July 2026 to 30 October 2026.

The selected proposal reflects the IEEE Gujarat Section’s commitment to strengthening its membership base, enhancing member value, and creating meaningful engagement opportunities for students, young professionals, industry practitioners, and volunteers.
