ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

India is leader in supplying software that controls the critical infrastructure and businesses throughout the world. The Internet connects people, systems and galaxy of networks and an effort is required to protect digital systems from online threats as we defend our bodies from illness. After the two successful editions of cyber security workshops in Ahmedabad (2013) and Bangalore (2014) 3rd Edition is scheduled in Bangalore again. This timely workshop is aimed to offer awareness for the Government and Private sector, aspiring Hacking and Cyber Security enthusiasts. This year too we will address inherent vulnerabilities and emerging threats associated with global Internet connectivity and information and communication technology. This two-day event will explore the various means that an intruder uses to gain access to computer resources. Mission of this workshop is to establish cooperation actions by multi-stakeholders that can bring together individuals, industry, policy makers and academic interests in an effort to reduce the security risks for governments, service providers and users on both a domestic and international level.

He has more than four decades of experience in Information Technology Management, Information Systems Audit, Information Security Consulting and Training.

Mr. Kadam has served as a Vice President of ISACA International Board for two years from 2006 to 2008. He was President of ISACA Mumbai Chapter from 1998-2000. He is the recipient of ISACA’s Harold Weiss Award for 2005, “Given to Recognize Dedication to the IS Audit, Control and Security Profession”.He is currently Advisor to ISACA’s India Task Force.

Amit Kumar is CEO and Chief Scientific Officer of BioAxis DNA Research Centre (BDRC) Pvt Ltd. He also serves as the Treasurer of IEEE Hyderabad Section and Chairman of IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, IEEE Hyderabad Section. He is member of the reputed Neural Networks Technical Committee (NNTC) of the Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) of the IEEE. Dr Amit Kumar is a member of IEEE, ISCB, APBIONET, ACM and PRIB. He obtained his PhD in Applied Bioinformatics in 2007. Dr Kumar was nominated as “Pioneers in Genomic education 2010”.

Anil K Roy

Anil Roy is an alumnus of IIT Delhi (India) from where he earned his Ph.D. in Physics in the area of Quantum Optics in 1993. After that he was associated with Centre for Theoretical Studies at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore during 1993-94. He worked with Optical Fiber group at IIT Delhi till 1996 before joining industries. He joined DA-IICT (his current organization) as faculty in 2003. His main academic interest areas are nanoscience, fiber optics, semiconductor physics, applications of image processing and technologies for humanitarian challenges. He is a senior member of IEEE. He is a member of IEEE Communications society, Signal Processing society, Solid State Circuits society, and IEEE Sensors Council, Nanotechnology Council, Internet of Things (IoT) Technical Community. He is a member of the core committee of IEEE Internet of Things Working Group under the chairpersonship of Roberto Minerva. He is appointed Member-at-Large of IEEE Sensors Council for 2013-14 & 2015-16 and he is also the Webmaster of the same council. He served MGA Geographic Unit Operations Support committee as a member during 2012-13. He was a member of an MGA AdHoc committee who delivered the first version of Sections Vitality Dashboard.

Nandkumar Saravade 
Independent Security ProfessionalNandkumar Saravade is an independent security professional and cyber crime expert, currently advising Ernst & Young and Citibank. Till recently, he worked as Director, Citibank India, heading Security, Investigation and Vigilance.

During 2008-2011, he worked as General Manager, Financial Crime Prevention Group, ICICI Bank, where he looked after fraud risk management, including prevention, detection and investigation and regulatory reporting and compliance.

Independent Information Security Consultant

Vicky Shah is currently working as Independent Information Security Consultant and the Founder of The EAGLE EYE and Cyber Crime Clinic – Education Initiative focused on Awareness and Prevention of Cyber Crime.

Mr. Shah is an independent Information Security Consulatnt and the founder of The Eagle Eye and Cyber Crime Clinic. This is an educational initiative focused on awareness and prevention of cyber crime. He is the former head/in-charge Digital Forensics and was an Assistant Professor of Institute of Forensic Science, Mumbai, Govt. of Maharashtra. Mr. Shah is an renowned profesiional in the domain of cyber security, cyber crime investigations, cyber law and cyber forensics. He has authored a very unique book on awareness and prevention of cyber crime, namely, “Are You Protected?” – The Handbook. Mr. Shah has been closely working with various state police departments, state governments, Indian Banks associations etc. to help them investigate cyber crimes.


Debabrata Nayak

Dr.Debabrata Nayak has completed his PhD in wireless security from IIT Bombay. And has been working on security domain in last 21 years. He has been working in Huawei Telecom as Chief Security Officer. Obtained Masters degree from NIT Rourkela, specialized in Elliptic Curve Cryptography and Internet security. Covering wide areas such as Security system Performance evaluation, Design of secure cryptographic system, Wireless Security policy design and implementation. He designed Security solution for INFINET (Indian Financial Network for RBI).IPv6 migration of INFINET.IPv6 Security for Indian financial network with C-DoT ,Leading IPv6 migration and security strategies in Huawei platform development for various products, Some of the technology related IPv6 project done are IPv6 migration,SEND,IPv6 Firewall ,IPv6 attack module simulation and PKI for IPv6, Currently guiding Enterprise security, Consumer security and Mobile broadband security(MBB).
